Acciaierie Valbruna S.p.A. is now officially KTA 1401 qualified by Areva. It is for German Nuclear power plants.

Standard KTA 1401 is “General Requirements for the Quality Assurance towards the German nuclear power plant operators”. KTA means Kerntechnischer Ausschuss. The operators of the German nuclear power plants are EnBW Kernkraft GmbH, E.ON Kernkraft GmbH, RWE Power AG and Vattenfall Nuclear Energy GmbH. This standard is also used in Austria and Brasil. The approval is for manufacturing and sales of alloy steel, stainless steel,titanium and nickel alloy ingots, rolled and forged bars, billets, wires , wire rods, threaded bars, stainless for conrcrete reinforcing bars and forging. The approval is both for Vicenza and Bolzano and is valid until February 4th, 2018.
